The process of sending money is very simple. In order to send money from an Agent location please follow the following steps:

Visit your nearest Western Union®Agent location |

Fill out a Send Money form |
|
Provide payment to the clerk in cash - including the amount to be sent and appropriate fee(s). Make sure you have a picture ID with you. |

Get the receipt that includes your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). |
|
Send the MTCN to the person picking up the funds for extra convenience. A test question may be required by law or may be used to help Western Union identify the receiver of the funds. |
In order to receive money at an Agent Location please do the following steps.

Visit your nearest Western Union®Agent location |

Fill out a Receive Money form. Hopefully you already have the Money Transfer Control Number. |

Present the completed form and valid identification to the clerk. |

Depending on the location and amount of money you are picking up, you may be asked a "test question" to verify you are the intended receiver. The test question is created by your Sender in order for you to be identified at the Agent location. Depending on the receive amount and location, you may receive portions of your funds in both cash and check. |
